These days, it's hard to find a name that's not already taken. So we looked to familiar terms — guided by our love of all things aerospace, engineering, and industrial design — to create something entirely new.
Meet Ailero.
It's derived from the word "aileron" — defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "a movable airfoil at the trailing edge of an airplane wing that is used for imparting a rolling motion especially in banking for turns."
Our logo incorporates a stylized version of a NACA standardized airfoil design, which overlays a planetary shape that's inspired by the vast opportunity of space. The essence of the logo attempts to capture the energy and inspiration we find in building the future.

Founder
Matt is a product designer passionate about helping cross-functional teams build digital products, services, and experiences from first principles.
He currently works with startups to scale design and accelerate time-to-ship at Ailero, the digital product and design studio for early stage companies.
Matt previously lead product design for Project Financials at Built Technologies, the leading provider of construction and real estate finance technology. Prior to Built, he helped grow Veritonic, an audio intelligence company and the first research and analytics platform built to quantify the value of sound in advertising.
He has a background in designing and building web apps — from drafting rapid prototypes and assembling designs in code to crafting design systems and shaping user behavior — and leading small development teams in solving complex problems with big impact.
